Pilates is an invigorating form of exercise for your mind and body that will improve your strength, flexibility and overall mobility. As a result your posture will change and you will move more efficiently. You will achieve a strong core, develop longer, leaner muscles and improve your overall sense of well being. And if you are a sports enthusiast, Pilates will also improve your game.
Why does reCentre offer Pilates
Pilates has become central to the complementary therapies in Physiotherapy treatment and is a technique that greatly enhances rehabilitation, core strength and well being. In our Studio in Balham we provide Pilates Matwork classes at different levels: Beginners, Improvers and General. You can also find specialised classes such as Remedial, Antenatal, Postnatal and Pilates Flow. On Saturday afternoons we often hold workshops such as 'Pilates for Back Care' so always check out the wide range of Pilates classes available by looking at our timetable here.
Matwork
In Matwork classes, exercises are performed on a mat, sometimes using small pieces of equipment. It's your body working against gravity that provides the greatest challenge. The class has a maximum of 12 clients but can also be taught on a 1:1 basis. The class lasts for 1 hour.
Our studios are situated on Balham High Road, South West London. For directions and contact information please visit our contact us page.
