Yoga at reCentre is suitable for everyone, young, old, can't touch the toes, - there is something for all, includiong specialised classes for mothers-to-be and new mothers.

At reCentre we take steps to ensure that our classes are safe and effective and we acknowledge that we humans are made up of a complex system of physical body, mindful activity and more subtle energies. We include time for stillness in each class, whether through relaxation or sitting in brief meditation. We also understand the physical body, how to release tension and can work with various ailments.

All our Yoga teachers are qualified through well respected schools of yoga, like The British Wheel of Yoga, Yogacampus and TriYoga. All the training courses have taken up to two years to complete and everyone has at least two years' teaching practice. Most of our teachers are also qualified in complementary practices.

We have maximum of 12 students in any class as we feel that this is the only way to give every client the attention they deserve. All the equipment you need is provided and the studio is temperature and airflow controlled, clean and inviting.

So many classes, how do I choose?

There are many different styles of yoga, literally hundreds in fact. As yoga began to be recorded in 500BCE there have been a lot of great teachers who have styled particular schools and these account for the names like Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini and Bikram.

Hatha yoga is the style of yoga from which all of these names originate and they are essentially forms of Hatha Yoga. Hatha means Ha -Sun and Tha -Moon and the practice is one of balancing both the physicality and the subtle energies of the body. you like as every teacher will have their own unique interpretation of the yoga informa With so many options available the best suggestion we can give is to find a teachertion and their life experience and additional learning will also feed into the class setting.
